Reading & Inhabiting Scripture Together in Community
We aspire to be community of disciples orienting our lives around the Story of Jesus and immersed in the Holy Scriptures together. Toward this end, we invite you to join us in reading and meditating on the four texts from the Revised Common Lectionary each week. My weekly Lectionary Reflection, or “weekly digs” on one of the texts is a resource to guide your engagement. In this way, we will “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom” (Col 3:16).
Weekly Scripture Readings
Each week we are given four texts: Old Testament, Psalm, New Testament and Gospel text. Liturgical churches typically base the weekly sermon on these texts. Learn more about the Lectionary
“Weekly Dig” Reflections
This weekly reflection helps us “dig” deeper into one of the lectionary texts. These will be written by myself and possibly others in the MainStreet community. Let me know if you would like to share a reflection!
