214. One Body, Many Ethnic Parts – The Anchor Podcast
In this "Deep Dive" episode, Sarah and Doug discuss a theological essay I published in 2020 where I explore how the biblical metaphors of Pentecost and the "One Body" from 1 Corinthians 12 provide a framework for racial and ethnic reconciliation within the modern church. I argue that while secular concepts like the "melting pot" often fail, the Gospel offers a "cauldron of grace" that preserves cultural distinctiveness while dismantling prejudicial barriers. This is a timely conversation as Christians and church leaders try to respond faithfully to the anti-immigration climate in our country, and in particular what's happening in the streets of my city and our neighborhoods in Minnesota.
