The last time Pastor Piper offered his theological commentary on a local disaster (35W Interstate Bridge Collapse) it sparked a lengthy response from Pastor Greg Boyd. So, naturally, I have been waiting for Boyd to weigh in on Piper’s recent interpretation of the Minneapolis “Tornado Warning.”  Here it is.  Check out Boyd’s response HERE. 

Well, what do you think?  Once again I am reminded that things are usually more complex than they appear on the surface.  We should all exercise extreme caution and humility when claiming to speak for God.  

Again, I don’t know if God sent that tornado.  He could have.  But was going public, as Piper did with this claim, the wisest decision?
