Still my ‘Happy Place’

I’ve shared my bookish nook with ya’ll before.  Read about the importance of having a ‘happy place’ to retreat to for solace and renewal HERE.  Mine would be Hawaii or even a weekend in the city if we had extra money for such a thing.  Fortunately, God has made me a relatively content person who happens to enjoy a couple hours upstairs in his study surrounded by the wisdom of the ages packed away in hundreds of dusty books of various colors, sizes and binding.

This past week I splurged on a $19 IKEA desk to help me do the business of a church planting pastor.  It’s extra small so I’m forced to tidy as I go and a avoid piles of papers stacking up (in theory).

Oh, and people often ask us when we’re going to have kids.  One factor (tongue in cheek) is that Keri threatens to turn my happy place into the nursery when that time comes. And I say, “We can share, right?”  Haha!  ;-P  (Just remove the book from my hand in the photo below and add a baby, and we’re good, right?)
