In 2005, I was part of spearheading a teen ministry in Mound called the Revolution.  This ministry used music outreach events to draw teens to hear about the revolutionary message of Jesus.  Out of these “attractional” events, we invite students to join the revolution by attending The Way of the Revolutionary Bible Study that began in our living room on Monday nights.  Teens from many area churches came together to learn how to follow Jesus beyond the church walls and into their schools.

The past 3 years (while Keri and I have been at Faith Covenant in Burnsville) this group of revolutionary teens has continued meeting in homes for a Bible Study every Monday and by the gymnasium at school every Thursday morning for prayer.  These students have continued praying for each other, studying God’s Word and bringing the light and love of Christ into their school.

I’m thrilled that on Monday, October 25 the Revolution will begin meeting at the Threshold on Main Street in Mound, and inviting many more MWHS teens to join us in learning how to follow the Revolutionary Jesus!  The video above gives a snapshot of what the Revolution is all about.
