I admit, I have a special place for ministering to and with college aged / young adults.  One of the greatest blessings of planting a new church in Mound is that we have Crown College, an evangelical Christian school just a few miles away.  Last fall we had a few outstanding students get involved with MainStreet.  This fall we have an even larger and more enthusiastic fleet of recruits eager to be part of MainStreet.

In particular, God answered our prayer for talented worship leaders/musicians in an amazing way.  I went to Crown in September for a ‘Meet ‘n Greet’ and when I went around the table letting each introduce themselves, it just so happens that we had a complete worship team staring me in the face — a couple leaders, three electric guitarists, an acoustic guitarist, a keyboardist, two drummers, and even a bass showed up later. Wow!  Again, God provides — often just in the nick of time. :)

This past weekend we had 3 talented college students leading our new church in worship! See photo of Jesse, Sam and Jimmy above.
