She was 16 years old, and for some reason attending a dance at the Technical College in her hometown. He was about 20, and for some reason flirting with a high school girl. (It was the 70s after all – people did a lot of “iffy” things.)
He asked her to dance. She said yes. And they’ve been dancing across life’s dance floor now for 42 years!
The music their love produces has reverberated and echoed out to blessed many – especially their 3 kids who have watched the Dance up close and personal. We’re still watching how they do it, trying to copy their steps.
Like all good dancers, they make it look so easy. It’s not. They’re committed to one another and they’re going to keep Dancing until death do they part.
