We had a nice turnout and some yummy popcorn at our first showing of The Chosen last Sunday at MainStreet @ St. Martin’s by the Lake. Each Tuesday we’re releasing a follow-up reflection on the Anchor Podcast featuring myself and other MainStreet voices. Listen to the first one here.
We hope others will join us this Sunday at 5pm for episode 2. Here’s the viewing schedule:

If you miss a week, you can watch the episode at home for free here and catch up. Someone may be thinking, “Why go to church to watch (with a mask) when I can watch in my grubbies on my own in the comfort of my home on my own schedule?” I’ll just say that there’s something special — even “sacramental” — about encountering these stories in community and participating afterwards in some discussion and sharing in the sacrament of holy communion together. (Not to mention for 2,000 years, until our day characterized by rugged American individualism, the people of God have understood the importance of gathering together for worship, fellowship, and the Eucharist.)
So, hope to see even more of you this Sunday – it’s gonna be a memorable journey for those who show up. Again, listen to my reflections on the first episode below.
