Lent is a season for inviting God’s loving but painful pruning away of sin in our lives. Toward this end, I’m sharing an excerpt this week on the Anchor Podcast from my unfinished book about an imaginative trip with Jesus to the Father’s lake cabin up north.
In this chapter, Jesus takes me on a walk through the Father’s carefully pruned and bountiful vineyard, and a sober visit to the neighbor’s overgrown property with a toxic well that slowly took his tragic life.

Next week’s podcast episode #193 will feature my latest short story “The Alabaster Jar” that I’ll be sharing this Sunday night at MainStreet Covenant. Subscribe to receive and listen to my weekly audio reflection on Scripture and faith, trying to help keep us anchored in Jesus and Kingdom truth in these days of being “tossed to and fro by every wind of teaching” (Eph. 4:14). Thanks for listening and please share with a friend!
