On Easter Sunday, when most churches are trying to gather the crowds, MainStreet leaves the 99 to pursue the 1, leaving the crowds to bring a humble Easter service to the couple dozen folks at Harrison Bay Senior Living. The MainStreet congregation joins us as we bring resurrection hope to folks who really need and appreciate it.
This Easter I shared a sermon like none I’ve ever done! As I was preparing it, the words took on a rhythmic cadence and repetitious poetic beat – very common among Black preachers! Despite my white Scandinavian Lutheran background, I threw caution to the wind, and gave it my best. I’m excited to share a version of it with you today: “Two Rolling Stones.”
