Visual Sermon: Road to a Better Story

This past Sunday I preached the first message in a 2-part series at Brookdale Covenant Church. I was warmly welcomed by the good folks and I had a blast sharing a message that I’m passionate about.

In many ways, I haven’t really preached in years, since the earlier MainStreet days at Stonegate Plaza pre-2020. My teaching at MainStreet Covenant these days is more informal like leading a small group Bible study sitting in a circle most weeks. I’ve been itching to flex my preaching muscle and was delighted by the invitation. I am excited to share part 2 of the series on the Emmaus Road story this coming Sunday.

There’s also new technology available to preachers that I am having a blast utilizing. First, I plugged my sermon notes into Google Notebook and it generated beautiful presentation slides in about 2 minutes. (I loathe making Power Point slides for lectures and sermons!) Second, I used the same program to generate a vivid, colorful, engaging 6-minute visual summary of my sermon from Sunday that you can watch right now and use for a small group discussion. Check it out!
